Background
Kusaug Outgrower Business (OB) network is located in the Bawku Municipal of the Upper East Region of Ghana.
Purpose of Establishment
Kusaug OB Network was established in March 2017 and serve as an association to promote, protect and bring about the spirit of corporation and understanding among members to enhance business gains by providing a strong network of stakeholder linkages, advocate and share ideas for sustainability.
Members
The network has 23 members (20 males and 3 females)) and supports
8706 smallholder farmers (4,194 males and 4512 females) with a total Youth of 1,913.

Objectives
1. Influence policy process and decision making at the local and national levels.
2. Support regulations, policies and government programmes that are beneficial to member’s businesses agricultural growth and advocate for reforms of policies, regulations and programmes that are inhibiting members businesses and agribusinesses as in general.
3. Purchase agricultural inputs in bulk to reduce cost and supply produce as masse to enjoy economics of scale.
4. Scout for markets and financial support and share resources such as tractors and other farm inputs
Services
The network provides services to 10,143 smallholder farmers in the production of maize, rice, soya, sorghum and groundnut include land preparation ripping, harrowing and ploughing), threshing, marketing and inputs with repayment in-kind expected after harvest even though some farmers pay for cash for services delivered.
Business Ventures and Partnerships
The network has strong collaboration with MoFA and also business contracts with
RMG, CSIR-SARI, Ghana Commodity Exchange.
In addition, the network has capacity on governance structure, total quality management, advocacy, financial management, and relationship with financial institutions such as Toende Rural and ADB Bank in Bawku.
